Wrexham came from behind to deny Burnley a first Championship win of the season, drawing 1-1 at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night. Zeki Amdouni's first Burnley goal in two years put the visitors ahead in the 25th minute and Jacques Ekomié's header levelled it in the 54th.
The draw leaves Wrexham still looking for a first home win of 2026-27 and Burnley without a league win since February. Burnley were without new signing Jamie Vardy, who was suspended because of yellow cards he collected at Cremonese last season.
Amdouni strikes first
Wrexham were the sharper side early on. Callum Doyle headed straight at Max Weiss, Josh Windass sent a shot over the bar and Kieffer Moore's close-range header was kept out by the Burnley keeper. Issa Kaboré was a threat down the right flank.
