Northampton Town returned to winning ways with a 2-1 League One victory over Mansfield Town, coming from behind to end a run of three straight defeats. Rhys Oates put the Stags in front against the run of play, but second-half goals from Jack Perkins and Tom Eaves turned the contest the Cobblers' way.
The defeat ran the visitors close at times, but Northampton's second-half response was enough to claim all three points after a frustrating spell that had included an FA Cup exit to League Two Oldham the previous weekend.
Stags Strike Against the Run of Play
Northampton started the brighter side, with Jordan Thorniley nodding just wide inside the first minute and Stags goalkeeper Liam Roberts producing an excellent reaction save to keep out Cameron McGeehan's close-range header.
