Doncaster 2-3 Plymouth Argyle: Pepple and Watts turn the game as Argyle win first away game

· Match Report

Plymouth Argyle beat winless Doncaster Rovers 3-2 in League One, collecting a first away victory of the season. Will Evans, Bim Pepple and substitute Caleb Watts scored for Tom Cleverley's side, with Alfie May's penalty and a stoppage-time header from Seán Grehan the only replies from Doncaster.

The win was Plymouth's second of the season and left them a point off the play-off places in a congested table after five games.

Evans Strikes First, May Levels From The Spot

Plymouth grew into the game and went ahead in the 27th minute, Evans converting the rebound after Tommy Simkin could only parry a strike from Oliver Irow. May saw a bicycle kick deflected over before the break, and Doncaster did not have to wait long for their equaliser. He made no mistake from the penalty spot in the 50th minute, awarded when Matty Sorinola brought down Owen Bailey.
