Bayern Munich set up a Champions League semi-final against holders Paris Saint-Germain after coming out on top of a seven-goal quarter-final second-leg classic against Real Madrid, winning 4-3 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate at the Allianz Arena.
Five goals were scored in a breathless first half before the contest settled into a tactical battle after the break. With extra time looming, Eduardo Camavinga was sent off for a second yellow card four minutes from time, and Bayern punished the 10 men through Luis Diaz and Michael Olise in the closing minutes.
Guler's flying start
Trailing 2-1 from the first leg in Madrid, Real took just 35 seconds to level on aggregate. Manuel Neuer received a backpass from Joshua Kimmich and hit a poor clearance straight to Arda Guler, who struck a first-time effort from distance into the empty net.
