Derby County climbed into the Championship play-off places with a 2-0 victory over Swansea City, secured by second-half goals from Rhian Brewster and Patrick Agyemang at Pride Park. The result completed a league double over the Welsh club and delivered just a second home league win in nine attempts.
Swansea had been the better side before the break, controlling long spells of the first half but failing to register a shot on target, and they were ultimately punished for slack set-piece defending as Derby struck twice from Callum Elder corners.
John Eustace's team have now won four of their last six league games and move up five places into sixth, while Vitor Matos' Swansea remain 16th, six points adrift of the play-off spots but still 10 clear of the bottom three after suffering only their second defeat in six outings.
