Derby County 2-2 Cardiff City: Bobby Clark strike salvages point at Pride Park

· Match Report

Derby County and Cardiff City shared four goals at Pride Park Stadium, the visitors twice taking the lead before Bobby Clark's second-half finish completed a 2-2 draw.

Cian Ashford put Cardiff ahead in the 18th minute, assisted by Ronan Kpakio. Carlton Morris levelled for Derby seven minutes later, teed up by Clark. Yousef Salech restored Cardiff's lead in the 38th minute, set up by Rubin Colwill, before Clark struck himself in the 48th minute to make it 2-2.

Derby's afternoon was undermined by cards: Corey Blackett-Taylor was booked for dissent inside the first ten minutes, and Oscar Fraulo (54'), Lewis Travis (59'), Max Johnston (79') and Dion Sanderson (84') were also cautioned, five yellows in all. Cardiff's only booking was for Alex Robertson in the 52nd minute. Neither side had a man sent off.

Cardiff changed early, sending on David Turnbull and Chris Willock for Rubin Colwill and Ashford just before the hour; Derby brought on Rhian Brewster and Ryan Hedges soon after. The draw leaves Derby 17th on one point from two games (a draw and a defeat), while Cardiff move to 12th on two points from back-to-back draws.
