Derby 0-1 West Brom: Heggebø goal and a ten-man defence settle it at Pride Park

West Bromwich Albion won 1-0 at Derby County on Wednesday night, Aune Heggebø's goal in the 15th minute enough even though Brayann Pereira was sent off on his debut before half-time.

It was the visitors' first win at Derby in 23 years and the Rams' fourth league defeat of the season. Derby finished with 67% of the ball and 13 shots to West Brom's four, but never found a way through.

Heggebø Punishes Derby's Bright Start

Derby began the better side, pressing high, with Sam Szmodics causing problems and Alex Mowatt, a former West Brom player, pulling the strings in midfield. West Brom's first real attack brought the goal: Callum Styles won the ball back on the left, Jimmy-Jay Morgan, credited with the assist by Opta, crossed low, and Heggebø finished from close range.
