A stoppage-time winner from substitute Kristian Dennis ensured Tranmere emerged 2-1 victors against Grimsby in a dramatic finish at Blundell Park. The goal came in the 96th minute and was only Dennis' third touch of the game after coming on from the bench.
Charlie Whitaker had put the visitors in front in the first half and Darragh Burns hauled Grimsby level after the break, but it was Tranmere who found the decisive moment as the hosts failed to clear their lines in the closing seconds.

The visitors went ahead in the 19th minute as Charlie Whitaker cut in from the left flank and curled an effort into the far bottom corner of the net.
