Notts County made it three wins on the bounce by beating Grimsby 2-0 in a close battle at Blundell Park. A piece of individual brilliance from forward Matthew Dennis put the visitors in front in the second half before Alassana Jatta sealed the points in stoppage time.
The result extended the hosts' winless league run to seven matches, with Grimsby unable to find a way past the visitors despite an end-to-end contest in which both sides created openings.

The Magpies went close early on when Nick Tsaroulla's floated cross went over goalkeeper Christy Pym and almost in, only for a headed intervention on the line to keep the scores level.
