Crewe Alexandra extended their unbeaten start to the League Two season with a 1-1 home draw against York City on matchday five, Luke Offord's eighth-minute header cancelled out by Alex Newby's equaliser in the 39th.
It was a third consecutive draw for Crewe, who had played out a goalless game at Port Vale and a 2-2 with Walsall in the days before. York, beaten 3-2 at Cheltenham Town four days earlier, had to come from behind to take a point.
