James Connolly's late header earned Crewe a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham in League Two, cancelling out Jake Bickerstaff's second-half opener and ensuring the Alex avoided a third successive defeat.
The Robins had looked the more likely winners for long spells, but Connolly's intervention five minutes from time kept Crewe in touch of the play-off places and left Cheltenham with only a share of the spoils.
Robins on Top but Lacking a Cutting Edge
Cheltenham were the better side in the first half and sent some dangerous balls into the box, but they only tested Ian Lawlor once before the break. A low effort from Luke Young was pushed away by the Alex goalkeeper in the eighth minute.
