Barnet moved to within four points of the League Two play-off places with an impressive 5-2 win over Fleetwood at Highbury, the visitors clinical in front of goal in a pulsating game and deservedly leaving with all three points.
The contest swung decisively in first-half stoppage time when Fleetwood defender Shaun Rooney was sent off for a late tackle on Ryan Glover, and the Cod Army barely had time to reshuffle before falling behind.
Red Card Tilts the Balance
Within seconds of stoppage time being announced, Rooney's challenge on Glover reduced Fleetwood to ten men. Neat work down the left from Romoney Crichlow-Noble then teed up Callum Stead on the edge of the box to open the scoring.
