Northampton Town set a new club record of 10 straight league defeats as they were beaten 1-0 by mid-table Barnsley at Sixfields on Tuesday.
Already relegated and set to finish bottom of League One, the Cobblers went down to Reyes Cleary's first-half strike, a goal that lifted Barnsley up to 13th in the table.
Visitors Set the Early Tone
The visitors made all the early running, with an unmarked Tom Bradshaw heading just wide at a corner and David McGoldrick fizzing an effort off target from distance.
