Ryan Christie scored a hat-trick as Bournemouth beat Championship side Lincoln City 4-0 in the Carabao Cup third round, handing Marco Rose his first win as the club's head coach.
Christie scored in the sixth, 68th and 87th minutes for the second hat-trick of his career, and substitute Rayan added a fourth in the 93rd. Bournemouth had 68% of possession and move into the fourth round.
Rose made eight changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Newcastle on Saturday, giving goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio his debut and striker Alvaro Rodriguez his first start. Only Ryley Towler kept his place for Lincoln from their 1-1 draw with Southampton, and the two clubs were meeting for the first time since 2010, when both were in League Two.
