Chelsea come from behind twice to break 10-man Wrexham's hearts in FA Cup thriller

— Match Report

Chelsea twice came from behind to scupper 10-man Wrexham's hopes of a giant-killing, eventually winning a thrilling FA Cup fifth-round tie 4-2 after extra time in front of Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at the Racecourse Ground.

Alejandro Garnacho's extra-time volley put the eight-time winners ahead for the first time on the night, and substitute Joao Pedro wrapped up the win late on to send Liam Rosenior's side into the quarter-finals despite a lacklustre display.

Dragons strike first as Smith punishes the high line

After 18 quiet opening minutes, Wrexham brought the element of surprise to the fixture. Callum Doyle pinged the ball 50 yards down the pitch, Sam Smith was the only one alive to it, taking the pass down and forcing Robert Sanchez into a panicked decision before slotting the one-time Bishop's Stortford striker's shot past the goalkeeper at the near post.
