Charlton 0-0 QPR: Disallowed Campbell goal leaves Jones fuming after goalless derby

· Match Report

Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers both missed the chance to go top of the Championship on Wednesday night, playing out a 0-0 draw at The Valley in which the home side had a goal ruled out for offside and the visitors had most of the ball.

Tyreece Campbell finished from Oliver Skipp's through pass late in the first half, only for the flag to go up. "The goal is a great goal and a great counter-attack. It is onside and has cost us three points," Charlton manager Nathan Jones said after the match. QPR's Julien Stephan took a point from the night but felt it was "probably not enough based on the domination we had".

QPR Dominate Without Breaking Through

Each side arrived wanting a response after losing a league game for the first time this season on Saturday, Charlton having been beaten 4-0 at Stoke City. QPR held 72% of the possession and had 15 shots to Charlton's nine and 12 corners to five, but clear chances were scarce. It was also a repeat of the last meeting between the clubs, a 0-0 draw in February.
