Cheltenham Town beat York City 3-2. Ollie Pearce put York ahead in the 11th minute, but Jake Evans equalised for Cheltenham five minutes later and put the hosts 2-1 up in the 64th. Jovan Malcolm levelled for York in the 72nd minute before Charlie McCann scored the winner in the 85th.
Cheltenham made five substitutions, including Evans himself, replaced by Jake Bickerstaff in the 86th minute. York made four changes; the earliest, Malcolm on for Alex Newby in the 66th minute, produced the equaliser six minutes later.
Cheltenham's Shaun McWilliams was the only player booked, cautioned for a foul in the 4th minute. No player was sent off.
The win takes Cheltenham to seven points from four games, level with York City on points, goal difference and goals scored after four matchdays of the 2026/27 League Two season.
