Calvert-Lewin levels late: Leeds recover from a dominated first half to draw with Brentford

· Match Report

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's first goal of the season, in the 78th minute, earned Leeds United a 1-1 draw with Brentford at Elland Road after the visitors had controlled the first half and gone in front through Kevin Schade.

The result leaves both sides unbeaten after two games and level on four points: Leeds won at Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend, while Brentford beat Tottenham 3-0. Brentford had 22 shots to Leeds' 12, but Daniel Farke's half-time change of shape turned the second half firmly the home side's way.

Brentford Take Control Early

Keith Andrews's side were quicker and sharper from the start. Igor Thiago's shot from an angle was parried by James Trafford, and Mikkel Damsgaard worked free of Brenden Aaronson to test the goalkeeper again, Trafford gathering at the second attempt. Trafford, making his home debut, heard chants of "England's number one" as he kept out a Nathan Collins header.
