Burnley have signed the French goalkeeper Gregoire Coudert from Brest for an undisclosed fee, the club's sixth signing of the summer. The 27-year-old has agreed a four-year contract at Turf Moor.
Coudert made 26 appearances for Brest last season as the Ligue 1 club finished 12th. He started his career at Tours, before joining Amiens in 2019 and moving on to Brest in 2021.
"I'm really pleased to have joined Burnley and to be playing in England for the first time in my career," Coudert told the club website. "It's a great new chapter for me; I can't wait to get working with the team and I'm more than ready for this opportunity."
Coudert will compete with Max Weiss for the number one jersey at Turf Moor. Weiss, who joined Burnley from Karlsruhe for £4.3m last summer, has started both of the Clarets' Championship games so far this season.
