Burnley sign Chelsea winger Satpayev on season-long loan

Burnley have signed the Kazakhstan winger Dastan Satpayev from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The move comes two days after Satpayev turned 18 and signed a new six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with the option of a further year. He completed a formal transfer to Chelsea from FC Kairat, a deal worth £3.4m that had been agreed in January 2025.

"I'm very pleased to be here. It's a great opportunity for me in my career and a great club to show what I can do and help the team get back to where they belong," Satpayev said. "It's my first time playing in England and I'm ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley."

The loan is one of several involving Chelsea's academy departures this week. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has joined Portsmouth on loan, Reggie Walsh has moved to Wigan Athletic, and Shim Mheuka is nearing a move away from Stamford Bridge.
