Bristol City have signed the Crystal Palace defender Rio Cardines on a season-long loan, the ninth arrival of Michael Skubala's summer transfer window.
Cardines, 20, can play at full-back or wing-back. He came through Arsenal's academy before joining Palace at Under-16 level, and made his Premier League debut against Arsenal last season. He is a Trinidad and Tobago international, and was part of the Palace squad that won the Uefa Conference League last season.
Skubala said Cardines will add "quality both defensively and going forward" to his squad.
The loan is the latest in a busy window for Skubala, who took charge in May after guiding Lincoln City to the League One title, succeeding Roy Hodgson's interim spell at Ashton Gate. He has already brought in the goalkeeper Sam Tickle, the midfielders Gibson Yah, Sam Greenwood and Jed Wallace, the defender Lisav Eissat and the striker Dom Ballard this summer. Bristol City open their Championship season at home to Millwall on Saturday.
