Cambridge United beat Bradford City 2-1 at Valley Parade in League One's fourth round of fixtures, substitute Ben Knight scoring the late winner in the 87th minute.
Sullay Kaikai put Cambridge ahead in the 57th minute. Bobby Pointon equalised for Bradford City in the 75th, before Knight, on for Kaikai since the 73rd minute, restored Cambridge's lead in the 87th.
Bradford City's Callum Connolly was the only player booked, shown a yellow card for a handball in the 78th minute; there were no red cards. Cambridge made four substitutions, including a double change at the hour mark, while Bradford used three, sending on Nick Powell, Will Swan and Kayden Jackson in search of an equaliser.
Bradford City had much the better of the ball and the chances, with 65% possession to Cambridge's 35%, 20 attempts on goal to six, five shots on target to two, and 12 corners to three, but could not turn that dominance into more than a single goal.
