Boyd-Munce Penalty and Woodrow Header Earn Wycombe Win Over Wigan

· Match Report

Cauley Woodrow scored his first goal in nearly three months as Wycombe defeated Wigan 2-0 at Adams Park, with an early penalty setting the tone for a controlled home win.

It was the perfect start for the Chairboys, who were awarded a spot kick inside the opening 60 seconds before Woodrow ended a lengthy goal drought to settle the contest in the second half.

A Spot Kick Inside the First Minute

Junior Quitirna, who was making his first league start in two games, was pulled back by Callum Wright, and referee Paul Howard pointed to the spot. Up stepped Caolan Boyd-Munce, who fired home beyond Sam Tickle to give Wycombe the lead.
