Thierry Gale's 89th-minute header gave Bolton Wanderers a 1-0 win over Cardiff City at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, ending a run of four straight Championship defeats in a game the visitors largely controlled.
Cardiff had 59% of the possession and 17 shots to Bolton's seven, ten of them on target to five, and won ten corners to two. Bolton's goalkeeper Bazunu made ten saves, and the visitors had little to show for their pressure.
It was only Bolton's second win of the season, lifting them out of the bottom three, while Cardiff are still waiting for a first league victory after seven matches.
