Bobby Kamwa's superb second-half strike settled a tense afternoon at Rodney Parade, earning relegation-threatened Newport County a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town and a timely boost to their survival hopes.
Kamwa had looked the most likely scorer throughout and delivered the decisive moment in the 68th minute, with Shrewsbury managing only one shot on target as they slipped to a fourth straight defeat without scoring.
