Blackpool opened up a gap between themselves and the bottom four with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Exeter City in the big Good Friday clash at Bloomfield Road. Tom Bloxham scored the only goal of the afternoon to settle a contest with real relegation significance.
The Seasiders now sit five points above the Grecians, who currently occupy the final relegation spot. The win extended Blackpool's strong recent run to 10 points from their last four matches.
An Electric Start at Bloomfield Road
Ian Evatt's side enjoyed an electric start to the afternoon, with several early chances to break the deadlock going begging. CJ Hamilton saw a shot saved by Jack Bycroft, while both Joel Randall and James Husband fired attempts off target from close range.
