Blackpool have re-signed striker Jerry Yates on a season-long loan from Luton Town, and completed the signing of defender Josh Earl from League One rivals Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
Yates, 29, spent three seasons at Bloomfield Road between 2020 and 2023, scoring 42 goals in 124 league appearances. He joined Luton from Swansea City last August, but managed just two goals in 22 League One appearances before a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday for the second half of last season.
Earl, 27, has signed a three-year contract at Bloomfield Road, with a club option for a further year. He spent the previous two and a half seasons at Barnsley.
"I'm really happy to have added Josh to our defensive ranks before next week's deadline," Blackpool manager Ian Evatt said. "His experience and leadership skills alongside his undoubted quality made him a key target for us, so we are delighted to have got the deal over the line."
