Ben House double crowns Lincoln League One champions at Doncaster

· Match Report

Lincoln City were confirmed as League One champions after a comfortable 2-0 win at Doncaster Rovers, with Ben House scoring either side of the break to settle a one-sided night at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Michael Skubala's side had already secured promotion to the Championship on April 6 following a 2-1 win over Reading, and after collecting four points from the two games that followed they needed only to avoid defeat on Tuesday to lift the title. Victory made certain of it, and capped a magnificent season for the third-tier champions that also stretched their unbeaten run to an incredible 27 games.

Lo-Tutala Keeps Rovers Level Early

The Imps started brightly and should have gone ahead when Harry Clifton fouled Jack Moylan in the box after 20 minutes, but Rob Street's penalty was well saved by Thimothee Lo-Tutala.
