Wycombe continued their resurgence under new manager Michael Duff by beating Wigan 1-0 at the Brick Community Stadium to move clear of the League One relegation zone.
The single goal arrived 10 minutes before the break and was enough to secure a fourth win in six games in all competitions since Duff arrived. The Chairboys had also won 2-0 on this ground in the third round of the Carabao Cup only 18 days earlier, in Duff's second game in charge.
A Lightning Counter Decides It
The difference between the sides was Sam Bell's goal, finished off after a lightning-fast counter attack that involved Ewan Henderson and Fred Onyedinma.
