Barry off the mark as Everton outclass Forest on Dyche's return
Thierno Barry finally opened his Everton account as David Moyes's side produced a composed 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest that underlined their rapid progress and turned Sean Dyche's return to his former club into a chastening afternoon. An early Nikola Milenkovic own goal, Barry's long-awaited strike in first-half stoppage time, and a late finish from the outstanding Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall lifted Everton to fifth in the Premier League and within a point of the top four.
In the plush surroundings of the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton were sharper, stronger and more incisive than Forest, who arrived on Merseyside buoyed by improved form under Dyche but left well beaten. The visitors fashioned only two noteworthy chances, through Elliot Anderson and substitute Nicolás Domínguez, and both were repelled by Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski respectively as Everton collected a fourth clean sheet in five games and Everton's biggest win of the season.
