Barrow recorded their first away win of the season with an impressive 2-0 victory at Colchester, taking control early and seeing the game out with composure.
Goals from Jack Earing and Lewis Shipley either side of a wasteful Colchester display gave the Cumbrian side a deserved three points on the road.

The visitors took a ninth-minute lead when Tom Barkhuizen escaped down the right and crossed for Jack Earing, who scored at the second attempt after Colchester goalkeeper Matt Macey had saved his first effort.
