Courtney Baker-Richardson rescued a precious point for Newport County at Tranmere Rovers, the substitute striking with three minutes remaining to secure a 1-1 draw at Prenton Park and end a run of six straight defeats.
Jayden Joseph's first-half goal had looked set to earn Andy Crosby's side the win, but Tranmere's failure to convert a string of second-half chances proved costly as Newport snatched a late leveller in a frantic finale.
Visitors Make the Brighter Start
Newport began brightly and shaded the opening half-hour, almost going ahead midway through the first half. Cameron Antwi's low cross was the closest the visitors came, with veteran goalkeeper Joe Murphy alert to intercept and thwart the chance.
