Rochdale beat Shrewsbury Town 3-0 at Crown Oil Arena. Baba Adeeko opened the scoring in the 32nd minute and Luke Hannant doubled the lead in the 42nd. Hannant was replaced by Jonny Smith in the 76th minute, and Smith completed the scoring three minutes later, in the 79th.

Five players were booked, none sent off: Shrewsbury's Tom Anderson in the 26th minute, Will Boyle in the 49th and Joseph Gbodé in the 68th, then Rochdale's Tobi Adebayo-Rowling in the 73rd and Shrewsbury's Will Gray in the 82nd. Gbodé had come on for the injured Josh Ruffels at half-time; Rochdale had already made an early change of their own, Zain Silcott-Duberry replacing the injured Ethan Ebanks-Landell in the 21st minute.

The result leaves both sides level on three points from four League Two matches, each with one win and three defeats. Rochdale move up to 19th on the superior goal difference, having scored four and conceded six; Shrewsbury sit 22nd, with two scored and eight conceded.
