Nottingham Forest were denied a triumphant return to European competition when Antony scored an 85th-minute equaliser to earn Real Betis a 2-2 draw in their Europa League opener in Seville.
Forest, playing their first match in European competition for 29 years, recovered from Cedric Bakambu's 15th-minute opener through a brace from £10m summer signing Igor Jesus, only for the former Manchester United winger to break their hearts with five minutes remaining.
Bakambu Punishes Bright Betis Start
Real Betis began the quicker of the two sides and were rewarded after a quarter of an hour when Antony skated past Morato and slid a pass into Cedric Bakambu, who blasted high into the top corner of Matz Sels's goal. Replays suggested the DR Congo forward may have been offside in the build-up, but the goal survived a VAR check.
