The result extended Crawley's recent upturn under Scott Lindsey to seven points from their last three games, while rock-bottom Harrogate slipped to a 19th league match without a win, a run spanning more than four months and including 15 defeats.

Harrogate had threatened early on when Jack Evans headed a free-kick over before Bryn Morris forced Jacob Chapman, Crawley's on-loan keeper, to save smartly with his legs.
