League One club AFC Wimbledon have added the forward Harry Cornick on a one-year contract that carries a club option for a second, bringing him in as a free agent following his summer release by Bristol City.
Cornick, 31, made just one senior appearance for Bristol City last season before moving to Stevenage on loan for the second half of the campaign, having spent three-and-a-half years at Ashton Gate in total. He was previously a fixture of Luton Town's climb from League Two to the Championship, contributing 38 goals across 235 outings for the Hatters.
The move is the latest addition to Wimbledon's League One squad this summer, following the short-term signing of defender Andy Yiadom and the permanent return of winger James Tilley from Wycombe Wanderers. Wimbledon finished 19th in League One last season and are looking to build on that survival this time round.
Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson said: "Harry's a player that I've long admired, and he's had a good career." "He's obviously had a difficult season last season with the injury that he picked up," Jackson told the club website. "But I think he's still at an age where we feel like we can get him firing. He can be a big player for us."
