Two goals from Albert Adomah helped secure Darren Byfield a win in his first game in caretaker charge of Walsall as the Saddlers ran out 3-0 winners at Crewe. Byfield had replaced Mat Sadler, who was sacked after a run of one win in 11 games.
Walsall led inside four minutes, defended a saved penalty just past the half-hour, and pulled away late on with a clinical finish from substitute Aaron Pressley and a stoppage-time second from Adomah.
